LAKE ARROWHEAD WATER LEVEL UPDATE

We have received an update from Ledgemere Hydro regarding the current water level at Lake Arrowhead.

The lake is currently at approximately 306.5 feet, which is the lower limit of the required summer operating range. Due to the recent dry conditions, very limited rainfall, and extremely low water flow entering Lake Arrowhead, Ledgemere Hydro has initiated a Stage 1 – Low Inflow Watch.

At this time, hydroelectric generation has been stopped due to the lack of incoming water. Ledgemere has also confirmed that the flashboards at the dam are fully installed and in good condition, with only minimal seepage.

Very little water is currently entering Lake Arrowhead. However, Ledgemere is still required to maintain the minimum amount of flow necessary for the river downstream of the dam.

In simple terms, the current low lake level is primarily the result of unusually dry conditions and very little water flowing into the lake. Ledgemere is currently conserving water to the extent allowed by its operating requirements.

We understand that lake levels are important to our members and will continue to share information as we receive updates from Ledgemere Hydro.
