08/03/2026: UPDATE WATER MAIN REPAIR – OLD PORTLAND ROAD
Due to today’s weather, our Public Works crew was unable to begin repairs on the water main break as planned.
Repairs will now begin first thing tomorrow morning. During the repair, there is a possibility that nearby residents may experience a temporary loss of water service.
Once the repair is complete, there is also the possibility that a Precautionary Boil Water Order may be required for affected homes. If a boil order becomes necessary, only the impacted residents will be notified directly at their homes with instructions.
As work progresses, residents in the area may also notice brown or discolored water. This is caused by naturally occurring minerals being stirred up in the water mains and is typically temporary. Running your cold water for several minutes after service is restored will usually clear the discoloration.
