What to Expect
During and after repairs, some members may notice brown or discolored water. This is normal following water main repairs and is caused by harmless sediment being stirred up in the pipes.
If you experience discoloration:
• Run cold water at the lowest faucet in your home for 10–15 minutes
• Avoid doing laundry until water runs clear
• If discoloration persists, wait and try flushing again later
